The team at Blush say that "Walking into the Blush publishing printing room is like stepping back in time". The oldest press used by Blush dates back to 1893 and weighs over half a tonne, it is treadle powered (no electricity!) and the Blush team think it's a work of art. The paper is hand fed one sheet at a time. The Victorian craftsmanship is a work of art and beautiful to watch in full flow. The soft delicate clanking of the cast iron and ticking of the ink disk is mesmerising. Demand for Blush cards has grown rapidly and to keep up with the demand a 1969 powered press is also used. Blush produces fantastic quality cards that amaze and delight. It is clearly evident that everything is handled in house, from cutting the paper to printing and creasing the cards to packing - the team have total control over the quality.
